We have expanded our presence across key retailers such as Boots and Selfridges UK, and our e-commerce platform now serves customers in 68 countries. Our 360° omni-channel approach includes a robust physical presence in over 500 retailers across eight countries and four flagship stores in the UK and Ireland.
Our product portfolio includes over 140 makeup, skincare, and body products, all proudly certified by Leaping Bunny and recognized with 40+ industry awards. With an extensive range of complexion products offering over 100 foundation shades, Sculpted by Aimee is dedicated to celebrating real skin and promoting minimal retouching in our social media and campaigns.

Due to this exciting growth, Sculpted by Aimee are looking for a Regulatory consultant to join the growing Product Team based in Dublin. This hybrid role will be responsible for ensuring product portfolio compliance with global regulations, safety, and labeling requirements while guiding product development, approvals, and market access strategies reporting to Head of Product. 

*This is a part time/15 hour freelance role.
Accountabilities Include
EU Market Compliance
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009
  • Oversee the creation, review, and maintenance of the Product Information File (PIF) and Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSR)
  • Manage CPNP notifications and product submissions
  • Ensure product formulations, labeling, and claims are compliant with EU standards
  • Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to internal stakeholders
US Market Expansion
  • Lead compliance efforts with US FDA cosmetic regulations, including the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA)
  • Oversee facility registration and product listings with the FDA
  • Ensure US labeling, claims, and ingredient declarations are compliant
  • Establish systems for adverse event reporting and post-market surveillance
  • Advise on potential OTC drug classification risks for borderline products
Global Market Support
  • Research and interpret cosmetic regulations in target expansion markets (e.g., Canada, Australia, Latin America, Asia, Middle East)
  • Support product registration and local compliance with international authorities
  • Coordinate with local consultants and distributors to ensure market-specific compliance
  • Adapt regulatory dossiers (e.g., PIF equivalents) as needed
Audit & Documentation
  • Ensure the organization is always “audit ready” by implementing robust documentation practices and maintaining clear evidence of compliance with global cosmetic regulations.
  • Act as the primary regulatory contact during inspections or audits conducted by authorities, notified bodies, or third-party certifiers, ensuring timely provision of required documentation and responses.
  • Oversee the application and renewal of certifications and ensure continued compliance with their standards
  • Record Retention Policies: Develop and enforce policies for secure, systematic archiving of regulatory documents in accordance with legal and corporate requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices for documentation systems and audit processes, leveraging digital tools where possible to increase efficiency and traceability.
  • Support sustainable business practices by minimizing waste, promoting responsible sourcing, and reducing environmental impact.
  • Foster a diverse, inclusive, and ethical workplace while contributing to our community initiatives both internally and externally. 
  • Uphold integrity, transparency, and accountability in all business practices.
Experience Needed

  • Strong analytical skills, and ability to anticipate issues and provide solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment, brining a strong sense of urgency and commitment to speed to market.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or related field.
  • 4-5+ years of regulatory affairs experience in cosmetics, personal care, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of international cosmetic regulations (EU Cosmetics Regulation, FDA, ASEAN, etc.).
  • Experience preparing and managing PIFs, CPSRs, and product notifications.
  • Project management experience
